If you drag a stereo clip to a mono audio track (for example, music, or boom\/lav tracks from a shoot) it will mix the two tracks together and make a mono track.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2022<\/span>You can set the audio tracks to &#8220;Standard&#8221; or &#8220;Adaptive&#8221; and I think this will avoid that problem.\u00a0 See this article for how to set up the different track types:<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/larryjordan.com\/articles\/adobe-premiere-pro-audio-track-types\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/larryjordan.com\/articles\/adobe-premiere-pro-audio-track-types\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1685574808638000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0c5dKqfwOdZqiE5ID8Nz0s\">https:\/\/larryjordan.com\/<wbr \/>articles\/adobe-premiere-pro-<wbr \/>audio-track-types\/<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2022<\/span>When you are doing the final output, you&#8217;ll also need to make sure you are bringing the stereo mix onto a stereo track and make sure it&#8217;s panned left and right, otherwise it will be mono and louder than spec.<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3><span style=\"color: #99ccff;\">Preparing an OMF or AAF from Avid<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u2022Please send an OMFI v2 export or AAF.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u2022Please remove all video from your sequence.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u2022Please provide audio handles of at least 30 frames, 5 or 10 seconds is even better.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u2022Audio should be EMBEDDED (unless we\u2019ve discussed other options)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium color_alternate\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-3 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h1>Gotchas!<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_col-sm-9 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2022All audio files in your Non-Linear Editor should be of the same sample rate. If they are not, please convert them to the same sample rate prior to the AAF or OMFI v2 export process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2022Audio mixdown effects (audio suite) eliminate handles, so avoid when possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2022If the audio media files you will be sending total more than 2GB in size, you will need to split the sequence into two or more AAFs or OMFs. You can either break the project up into smaller acts, or export a fewer number of channels at once. e.g, Channels 1-8 in the first AAF or OMF and 9-16 in the second.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3><span style=\"color: #99ccff;\">Preparing an OMF from FinalCutPro 7<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Make all the tracks to export \u201cAudible\u201d (select the little speaker icon to the lefty of the track). Go to File&gt;Export&gt;Audio to OMF. Set rate to 48KHz, Depth to 24, Handle Length to at least 2;00, include crossfade regions*, include levels and include pans. Hit OK. It\u2019s that easy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium color_secondary\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>*We have seen OMFs from FCP fail if there are crossfades at 44.1 KHz. so it might be safer to leave out the crossfades if you have been working with mixed sample rates.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3><span style=\"color: #99ccff;\">Preparing a Quicktime movie<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Include one or more of these sync references:<br \/>\n\u2022Timecode window.<br \/>\n\u2022Visible 2-POP.<br \/>\n\u2022Included sound is helpful.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Export as QuickTime movie, not a referenced movie!<br \/>\n\u2022Prefered Codecs<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>ProResLT (no larger than 1080\u00d7740 please)<\/li>\n<li>H.264 of moderate quality will work and is small, but I\u2019ll end up converting it to ProResLT<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2022Video frame rate should be 29.97, 23.976 or 25 fps for PAL. Please note: 24fps is film speed.
